i remember that feeling-
your skin
brushing against
my skin
for a second,
for forever,
for a moment,
underwater
weightless,
two bodies
falling together
beneath the sea,
diving deeper
into darkness
before
emerging violently
into sunlight
and warmth
and air
the ocean salt
dripping from our fingers
and hair
shoulders
and lips
-it reminds me
that lungs can't hold
onto breath
for very long.
